When I got home from my delivery I found out that my roommate, on her boss’s request, had throw out 15 pizzas before coming home. 15 whole pizzas! Naturally I gave her a hard time about throwing them out- reminding her that so many of my clients would have LOVED a piece of pizza- let alone a whole pie! How could ANYONE throw out 15 pizzas? One of our friends here is the director of an orphanage in Mexico- and he too joined me in giving my roommate a hard time. “Could you imagine the looks of the orphans’ faces if I brought them 15 pizzas? It’s a shame you threw them out- that would have been great!” My roommate felt horrible, but blamed it on the fact that her boss told her to do it- how could she go against her boss? I then informed her that I went against the policy of my workplace by giving out the burritos to people who utilize the services at my clinic. My roommate felt horrible.
The next day one of my other roommates and I went out to do errands and passed this man…
What are the chances?
When we told her about this man, without any hesitation my campus ministry roommate jumped in the car and delivered a pizza to the man.
AND, a few days later we found out that a priest had passed the 15 pizzas sitting outside of my roommates office and had taken the pizzas to the orphanage. What are the chances?
